» Articles: Suggested Songs Based on Difficulty
Selection of nice songs, IMHO. Easy songs selected because they're good starts for beginners; harder songs selected because they sound damned good. Mostly from anime/games.
1/5 Easy as Pie
- Black Cat - Konoyo no Uta | Simple rhythm, nothing hard. Sweet song.
- Byousoku 5cm | Most songs from this anime movie are clean and slow. Most of all, sound great.
- Fullmetal Alchemist - Beaming Sunlight | Two note chords on the RH. LH very easy. Short. Nice melancholic song.
- Fullmetal Alchemist - Brothers | Beautiful piece.
- Inuyasha - Lament | Numerous ledger lines. But just take it slow, like it was meant to be. Some chords on LH, treble clef.
- Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho - Purity | Slow, short. RH plays parallel octaves but few notes. LH has continuous 8th notes but easy pattern.
- Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho - Sayuri | Slow, short. But 4 sharps, ledger lines, and chords.
- Naruto - Alone | Nice song. Lotta chords on RH, pattern LH. Take it slow.
- Naruto - Sakura's Theme | Sweet, light-hearted.
2/5 Piece of cake
- Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori - Chiisana Shiawase | Simple. 3 flats. LH plays in treble clef. But easy otherwise.
- Laputa - Main Theme | Full of emotion.
3/5 Food for Thought
- Ragnarok Online - Theme of Prontera (Studio A) | Great arrangement.
4/5 Bit of a Pickle
5/5 Tough Nut
- Fire Emblem - Etude in Piano in F# Minor | Great song. Also one I can't play properly. Curse parallel octaves. See rant in post hahah.
- Touhou (TH08) - Imperishable Night piano melody | Amazing. One of my fav Touhou medleys. Long (medley, duh), some super easy, some fast/hard bits.
